The short version
Donna stores what you need to run your list. It does not sell your data. It does not send you email.
The person who hosts this website keeps the data on their own server.
Your Google account
Sign-in uses Google. Google tells Donna your Google id, email, name, and profile picture, and that the email is verified.
Donna also saves your time zone, your color theme, and the last time you signed in.
Your list
Donna stores the spaces, plans, tasks, tags, notes, checklist items, and comments you write. If you share something, it stores the email of the Donna user you picked and what they are allowed to do.
Discord, only if you connect it
If you turn on Discord alerts, Donna stores your Discord user id and username. For direct messages it stores the chat id Discord gives it. For a server it stores the server id, the server name, and the channels you pick. If you paste a webhook link, Donna stores that link too.
Donna uses this only to send the alerts you turned on. It asks Discord for permission to see channel names and to post those alerts. It does not read your other Discord chats.
Phone alerts, only if you turn them on
If you allow alerts on a phone or computer, Donna stores that device’s push address. Apple, Google, or Mozilla deliver the ping. Donna does not see your other notifications.
Calendar link, only if you turn it on
Settings can make a private calendar link. Anyone who has that link can read your dated tasks. Making a new link turns the old one off.
The sign-in cookie
After you sign in, Donna sets a cookie named donna_session so you stay signed in. The page itself cannot read it. Donna does not use ad cookies.
Who else sees it
Google, because that is how you sign in.
Discord, only for the alerts you asked Donna to send.
Apple, Google, or Mozilla, only if you turned on phone or browser alerts.
People you share a plan or space with, and only what you shared.
The person who runs this copy of Donna, because the data sits on their server.
How long it stays
A task, plan, or space you delete goes to Trash. After 30 days in Trash, Donna deletes it for good. Empty Trash deletes it right away.
Your account stays until you ask for it to be removed, or until the person who runs Donna closes it.
How to ask for deletion
There is no delete-account button in Settings yet.
Ask the person who runs this Donna to delete the Google email you signed in with. They should remove your account and what is tied to it: your list, shares, Discord connection, phone alerts, and calendar link.
You can also turn off Discord, phone alerts, and the calendar link yourself in Settings. Sign Out ends that browser session.
